The insect rearing provides research insects for chemical and seed companies and universities world wide. The insects that are available are corn rootworm, European corn borer, black cutworm, corn earworm, tobacco budworm, beet armyworm and fall armyworm. French Ag. Research has developed a corn breeding station to improve host plant resistance in field corn, white corn, sweet corn and popcorn.
